Adaptive Control of Induction Motors with Unknown Load and Rotor Resistance

چکیده

This paper considers the design of an observer-based adaptive controller for variable speed threephase AC induction motors. The proposed controller allows for the simultaneous and independent control of the speed (torque) and the flux of the motor without requiring the measurement of the flux, and without the knowledge of the rotor resistance and the motor load. The control adaptively estimates the flux variables and the unknown parameters, using only the measured signals. The control strategy is designed for the equivalent two-phase field-oriented (d-q) model of the motor. Therefore, it does not have stiff nonlinearities and, hence, it is suitable for the discretization and digital implementation with DSPs.

Speed sensorless direct torque control of IMs with rotor resistance estimation

Direct torque control (DTC) of induction motors (IMs) requires an accurate knowledge on the amplitude and angular position of the controlled flux in addition to the information related to angular velocity for velocity control applications. However, unknown load torque and uncertainties related to stator/rotor resistances due to operating conditions constitute major challenges for the performanc...

Passivity-based Parameter Estimation and Composite Adaptive Position Control of Induction Motors

In the rotor reference frame, the input-output linearization theory was adopted to decouple the rotor position and rotor flux. We then designed two adaptation laws to estimate the rotor resistance and mechanical parameters of the motor. The passive properties of the negative feedback connection from the rotor flux observer to the rotor resistance estimator, and the position controller were anal...

Improved direct torque control of induction motors using adaptive observer and sliding mode control

This paper presents the synthesis of an adaptive observer which is used for the improvement of the direct torque control of induction motor drives. The observer detects stator flux components in two-phase stationary reference frame, rotor speed and stator resistance by measure of the stator terminal voltages and currents. The observer is adapted using a simple algorithm which does not imply a h...
